Mine seems to be making the same tick, I will be having mine inspected by a field technical specialist from Lexus. I’ll let you know what I find out.

Btw if you guys are ever on Facebook you'd find that the noise is coming from bad rocker arms and valve springs. We've had two ISF page members have their engines rebuilt or had major engine work to resolve. Look on IS freaks on Facebook. It's all there. I hope this helps everyone. One of the main reasons I traded mine in was the noise was getting louder and I saw that two people had Lexus do tear down and rebuild. Between that, the transmission flare, trans slip, intake box noise, belt slip noise, and high engine oil temps on track as well as my warranty ending it was time to go

Funny how my noise disappeared when I changed the seal between the OCV and the valve cover. It just didn't stay disappeared. It tells me there is a deficiency in the seal. Rocker arms and valve springs? Not even a small chance it is the root cause of the noise my car makes. I know exactly what those sound like, and I've built a fair number of Japanese engines with rocker arms. Irregular sounds don't come from the valve train.

I'm a lot more inclined to believe changing the brand of oil will make my noise problem disappear than I am believing changing the rocker arms or valve springs will.

I'll try and see if I can capture the sound of the isf before and after I switch to redline. The difference might not be as noticeable since mine is loudest with new oil. The tick on the LX with Mobil 1 was very noticeable. Now with redline it's completely gone. Hopefully it'll be the same for the isf.

Indeed. There are many DOHC engines with rocker arms. The pivot on our rocker arms is at one end, the valve is at the other, and the cam rides in the middle. Pretty common in bike engines from the 80's.
