News to me as well. I just replaced my brakes and I reused the springs, bridge bolt, and pins. I only replaced the shims. I hope I dont run into any issues

I've used the same parts for two front pad swaps and one rear pad swap. So far it's been fine.

The manual says you must do it. I didn't say I do it...

I think some pads have slightly different sized backing plates and perhaps If you run MFG X pads for a few years and then replace with MFG Y, whose pad backings are marginally smaller, that it would be good to replace the parts to keep the new pads snug.

I remember in the past my mechanic putting Hawk pads on my G and saying they were REALLY snug within the caliper.

I got my pins ins and clips in, so, should have some more info in a couple weeks.

That's what I do more often than not. I don't even install anything but the pins and springs when I put in my track pads. Waste of time and effort.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing honestly, because new hardware every single time seems excessive. I was going to buy it all new before install then I saw the stock hardware still looked good, glad I didn't now. Save some cash for when I get spark plugs done this week

Which pads did you have on previously?
