Default Borla exhaust suddenly got quiet as the OEM exhaust, what is wrong?

Help, my car definettely has decided to make my life more.complicated..

3 weeks ago i installed a borla exhaust which was very loud with a great rumble, but yesterday it stopped having a loud rumble , it sounds again almost as the OEM exhaust. Even the drone sound is gone being loud even the drone sound is gone..

I have resetted the ECU and nothing. .

It sounds so strange, any feedback on what i need to check?

In my experience that's normal. Once your exhaust has gone through its break in period it will quiet down afterwards. My Tsudo exhaust on my IS350 was real loud when I first installed it, but after a week or so it got a lot quieter. I asked the same question you did and got similar answers lol. But hey, if you wanna make it loud, just delete the mufflers

That's why I plan to do a muffler delete after I install mine this weekend. Now I know that will be in 3 weeks haha.

It should settle after a while but not a lot to where it's almost stock.

Any exhaust leaks? Any loss of power?

Might have to get it up on a hoist and have a good look underneath for causes

Once carbon builds up on the inside of the pipes it will quiet down a bit. But almost back to stock sound is odd.

Weird.

Maybe someone shoved a sock in one of the mufflers, or a pack of chipmunks moved into one side of your exhaust.

Maybe you just got used to it being louder? And now you cant tell the difference?
Happens all the time.. you get more horsepower, then you get used to it and next thing you know it feels "slow" again....then ofcourse you need MOAR POWA!
Its a vicious cycle. lol

RR Racing Bazooka exhaust is PLENTY loud, and the random pops it also produces keeps things interesting.

Its probably a combination of the exhaust just breaking in & you getting use to the sound. Even my Joe Z seem to calm down after awhile or I just got use to it

I'm using the borla exhaust with the magnaflow mufflers rr sells. It is pretty much loud as hell all the time inside the car. Stock was at least relatively silent often enough.

Strange.... but.... Something i did not mentioned before is that with the previous tank of fuel i added 1 can of Pro-Tec Valves and Injection cleaner, and it wright away got quieter and with a smoother idle. Once it got empty and filled again with fresh gas, it became louder again til it got quiet again on last monday. I though that, since it was almost empty that it might had the cleaner residue, so i filled up again but it stayed quiet. So maybe it got to do with something related to what the cleaner did?
