That's what I want to do to mine is wrap the lower end with 3M Carbon vinyl after seeing pics of your ISF back when you had it.

I think I did a write-up somewhere else on this forum about the stark contrast differences between the IS-F and M3's. Lexus definitely did something right when they built the IS-F since it's the perfect undercover beast + Daily Driver. The 8-speed auto was not liked by some but I feel it's the best tranny to have for street driving and MPG on the highway. The only drawback to the earlier model IS-F was the choppy suspension but that was easily cured with a set of KWV3's I had installed.

here's a pic of my old SFP IS-F along with some of her garage mates:

Were you on AZ? I remember seeing your NSX on there.

Thanks ~ likewise my friend! Those are some really clean colors for the F80 too

I was just sick of white cars since our garage has no color for a while. With yellow and soon to be orange cars the fleet is finally starting to look more exciting!

This threads reminded that I raced an F80 from 30 all the way up to 155 where his limiter snagged his *** like a dog chained to a dog house in a cartoon and I went sailing by laughing my *** off. With my F tuned up I had
No problem sitting 1/2 car from his bumper ALLLL the way up to the top. I lost a little respect for its performance after , but it was a pretty car though even in that weird like yellow green color . VIVA MEXICO 🇲🇽!!

The limiter is removed with even a basic piggyback on the F80 for an extra $10, so it's more than likely a stock F80.

2011 ISF
416 hp@ 6600 rpm
371 lb-ft 5200 rpm
3,839 lbs
0-60 4.3s
0-100 11.0s

2016 F80 M3
425 hp @ 5500-7300 rpm
406 lb-ft @ 1850-5500
3,540 lbs
0-60 3.9s
0-100 8.6s

I could only find figures for the 2011 IS F, so please correct me if your 2010 IS F has better figures stock.

Stock for stock, not accounting for driver skill, the F80 is lighter, more powerful earlier, has more torque earlier, faster to 60 and faster to 100. It's not even debatable.

Of course your modded IS F can beat a stock F80, and I wouldn't take that away from you. Congrats. However, I don't think you can lose respect for the F80 performance. It's stock and your IS F is tuned if I read that correctly. A Burger Stg 1 tune ($379) gives it 50hp to the wheels. There is a reason why between an RC F, F80, C63 AMG, and Audi RS5, I chose an F80.

Again, your modded IS F has got to be pretty fast, and I commend you on it, but I bet an F80 with a $379 piggyback that takes 10 minutes to install will earn your respect again.

Edited because it's late and my brain is on it's last legs of the day.

I'm sure you're probably right....I got smoked (not too bad....Maybe a car length or 2) from about 60mph to 130ish by a tuned only 335. My '12 ISF had Joe Z exhaust only. Tunes do wonders on those BMWs. Oh well....Still love my F and don't think I could ever own a beamer for many reasons.

Your post reminds me of "I live my life, quarter mile at a time"

Where did you guys race to 155? Most street encounters ends by 100 and even that is too fast for a street race!

I love the IS-F and I love my M3 - both cars have it's merits and drawbacks.

you sound like a hater. that car would leave you in the dust badly . lose respect for that driver, not the car.

Yeah, but in Tammer's case a more accurate quote would be "I live my life one corner at a time"

I can't say I disagree

My older daughter loves the M3 when we accelerate hard up to the 45 ~ taught her the difference between speed and acceleration....

Son is only 5 but he already knows what is REALLY fast! LOL

He got his Italian car when he was only 3 but now prefers Lambo:
