Default Coolant Code P0128 from my IS-F

Just got a coolant code P0128. Anyone experience this? My reader is telling me to replace thermostat. Anyone know the location and p/n?

The thermostat assembly is Lexus part #1603138010 or 160310S010. It looks like it comes with the required gasket which can only be used once. If it doesn't come with it or if you need another gasket its part # is 1632638010

Mine just popped up today too - I noticed my needle temperature could not make it past 3/8 of the way. Just happened 2 days ago.
I am going to buy a thermostat too

How old is it ?? @ISF4life I did mine when I swapped the water pump..

If your going to do the thermostat and the WP is still original..

Its time to do both

Assuming there is nothing wrong with the sensor, it likely means the thermostat is stuck open and not bringing the radiator fluid up to correct operating temperature..

Check your heater at night to see if you are getting just warm air..
(Hard to do during our heat wave)

Years of age will become more important than miles as our cars approach 12 years since manufactured..

My car is a MY11 w/ 123k miles. No issues so far with the WP, belts, radiator, etc, but getting a little worried given the age and mileage. Anyone else starting to replace these components at this age/mileage? Or am I jumping the gun?

I had done the belt twice prior...

Last summer I had the WP on deck as it was weeping..

At that time I replaced the WP, thermostat, tensioner and another new belt..

I'm stuck at 179k miles

Hope that helps!!
