You mention that with 275/35/19 you are going to need to roll your fenders. Are you on stock suspension. If you are having rubbing issues on stock height I may decide not to go with this size tire.

I have only rubbed once and it was coming down a hill at a good amount speed over a dip. All other driving, bumps, dips etc I haven't had issues so far. I just want to have the lips rolled in to cover my bases. I think the size would and should work fine on a wheel that is less extreme. Rear i'm running 9.5" with +40 offset. I'm tempted to go back to the tire shop and swap my fronts out for 245/40/19s so the diameter front and rear are closer matched, and get some extra sidewall up front. Although running a +30 8.5" wheel i'm not sure if rubbing would be a concern or not with the added height. Here in Seattle the roads are atrociously bad so a little extra sidewall is welcomed by me. Get a nice tire with a stiff sidewall and the several percent difference really should not matter much. All and all i'm happy with my current setup, the lesser diameter up front seems to make no difference that I can tell, the added width feels nice, grips incredibly well. Much better than my stock sized Michelin PS3s on stock wheels.

I have a NX200t as well and it runs 225/60/18 tires. That is a more car like SUV I would say so the overall height is pretty conservative as far as SUV tires go. That's almost 30% more sidewall than either of the sizes mentioned. So I don't want to hear the suggested sizes are SUV like or cause any discernible difference at a few more percent than stock.

Thanks for the info. I have stock 2012 wheels with +55 offset in the back so I should be ok with 275/35/19 and not have to worry about rolling fenders.

2012 wheels are +51mm offset, but I am running Michelin PSS in 275/30/19 on those wheels with zero issues. I chose not to run the taller tires, but who knows, it might actually be better from an overall perspective. Since no one is willing to publish the camber curves with either tire, it's difficult to say what really works and what does not.

You shouldn't have any issues whatsoever, unless you're slammed and/or have huge spacers.. Both are within spec for the wheel widths, plus they're pretty much the exact same O.D. as OEM (fronts are just .1 shorter). I'd probably be running the exact same set-up if Michelin made the PSS in 285/30/19 (I already have 255/35/19 in front).

Which tire brand? Any deals out there? I was thinking Firestone Indy but I don't think they come in 285/30/19

The consensus for pre-'12 for size setup seems to be 245x35 and 275x30 for front and rear, respectively, and that is the setup I am going for once my rear are really worn out. (currently at roughly 25%)

To each his own, but I think 275/35/19 in the back gives a more aggressive look than the 30. Shown above on a 9.5" +40 offset. Disregard the front tire as it is too small (these came off of my IS350). Zero rubbing issues on stock height.

I read through the entire thread and it sounds like this is the best option. The only thing I'm worried about is inducing more understeer with the 245 fronts. I'd LIKE to go wider than the 225/255 on 08 wheels but only if there are actual performance benefits at the track

Yeah, stock heights and I specifically picked this combo to keep the rolling diameter as close to OEM as possible. Looking forward to the extra grip.

Yes, I stand corrected on the rear--that looks a lot like my 265/35 and I do think that might look a bit better than the 275/30 in the later pics. I can only imagine that the 245/40 though does not look similarly good, based on my experience with the 235/40 option.

I also plan to get the same setup. I bought a set Firestone Indy 500 with 245/35/19 Fronts and 275/30/19 Rears. I also plan to update the suspension with the Bilstein B6s. I'm still debating on whether I should A) use existing stock springs (2008 w/ 110k and a little sag) B) Buy new oem replacement springs or C) Lower with the Swifts.

I've heard a lot of complaints on ride quality with the Swifts. I live work in the NY area where roads can sometimes be atrocious. What do you think?
