Hi there everyone, I have been thinking about getting the ISF but never got any seat time in it. My current vehicle IS350 and also a C5 Z06 corvette. How does the performance compare to the two? I would like something that seats at least 4 people, power, handling, and fun. Is the ISF a HUGE improvement over the IS350. My Z06 pumps out 500 hp from the engine and is a blast but noisy, sits only 2, and hard to get in and out of the car. Also cheap plastic interior and not as reliable as a Lexus.

Would getting the ISF offer the best of both worlds? I don't race or track, nor do I plan to. Just spirited driving at times.

Is there any difference in performance between the 2008-2014 models?

The IS-F is for you. HUGE difference over a 350. Go test drive one and you will not be disappointed. i would get the latest year you can afford.

Make sure you are in the sport mode. It's a big difference in responsiveness than the normal mode. Try the manual shift as well. I came from the IS350 and love the ISF much more.

Go for it! I've driven both the IS350 and I have an ISF. No comparison. I'd recommend a 2011+ for the better suspension and the 2012+ for the bigger wheels. I have a 2012 SFP and love it!

An ISF with I/H/E put down between high 390''s to low 400''s whp on average. First yr C5 Z06 385 hp later yr C5 Z06 put down 405hp so 350's whp to 360's very similar hp numbers. A stock ISF between 350whp to 360whp. So yes it's like having 4door C5 Z06 with much nicer interior.

The major performance difference was major suspension updated in 2011F, which give it faster lap times at ViR and several other tracks but no drive train changes. Updated steering ecu, 2012+ larger rims. I had 2008 SFP Is350 now 2011 ISF night and day difference not just HP but steering, suspension, chassis, transmission and braking. I will give the IS350 kudos for Great brakes and pretty quick up to about 100 miles an hour due it's gearing.

I bought an IS-F without ever seeing one in person or ever driving one. I just hoped for the best and was not disappointed

2010+ have LSD, 2011s have updated steering and major updated new suspension (alcantara seats option), 2012+ come with revised new suspension and wider wheels

I'd get one if price/condition was right. Lots of overpriced ones out there.

If you're looking at something brand new; un-popular opinion, but take a look at the Chevy SS. 4 door saloon with a LS3 putting out 415 hp/tq crank, manual is optional, and comes standard with the Magnetic Ride Control suspension also found in the ZL1 Camaro/Corvette. Its one hell of a car, and can be had just under 50k. And there's big aftermarket support for forced induction if you want to go nuts.

I own a isf and a c5 z06 two different cars the z06 is a sports car and the isf is a sports luxury everything feels different ... even the way it puts down the power... I've taken both cars to 175 mph the z06 stopped pulling at 150 the isf pulled all the way to 175 and was way more stable up there ...get the isf you won't regret it it's an all around better car ...the c5 is only good to show off how tail happy it is and for older guys to give you compliments and tell you how that was the car they always wanted

Yeah definitely get the ISF. I came from a modded 350 and my F is world's better. If you already enjoy your 350 but wish it was better in every way imaginable, you won't be disappointed. Vettes are also a dime a dozen, F's are rare
