I definitely agree with the others regarding the track performance vs. the ISF.. I'd love to do a real time comparison with the article's author on the Summit Point Shenandoah circuit (or any other for that matter).

lol at the review
Yesterday as I was watching MT head2head of the m5 twin turbo vs panamera gts and thought to my self what a bargain of performance the Isf especially in the used car market. Woow for the 560hp/500lb/ft and sticker over 100k ran a 12.4@114.2 in the 1/4 then the gts is another story NA v8 12.7@107 and 146k price tag. My isf with just exhaust intake ran a best of 12.55@114 there is other F's here that are in the 12.2's with headers and then there is the extreme guys that shave weight use slick and go in the colder days to get better DA run below 11's. So i just thought what a great performance bargain we have with lexus luxury refinement and reliability and what great performance bargains there is with the new camaro ss v8 if youre only looking at performance stats.

While I always loved that M5 especially with the V10, I think a huge factor is this quote from the article "I’m always a bit worried with the M5 because you never know when that V10 will blow up. On the dyno, with the car being pushed to the limit, it’s a lingering concern that’s now magnified by a hundred. Who knows at what point a rod would fly out of the engine at 8000 RPM, but fortunately, nothing bad happened and the car is still intact." We Lexus owners don't worry about things like that. M cars are great for a weekend vehicle but I don't trust its' reliability enough to have one for a daily driver.

I love the E60 M5 and the V10. It sounds incredible and since it's a V10, it's fairly unique as well, especially considering the price point. I drove one about 2 years ago, and the high RPM rush was fun. But I do remember shifting it in M mode and it shifted so hard that I looked over at the owner, freaking out that I broke something. But he just shook his head and said "nope that's totally normal" lol. I've wanted to buy one so badly over the years, however, the maintenance costs keep me away. I'd rather build my retirement account and lay money aside for my kids, than worry about potential 2nd mortgage incurring repair costs lol.

I've driven (and filmed) both. The M5 definitely sounds crazy. It's raspy and high pitched and loves to be revved, but the lack of low end torque is definitely noticable. It doesn't necessarily feel faster than my ISF, it's just a different power delivery. You feel like you're being pulled rather than pushed.

and here's my ISF. Way deeper and more aggressive. Much more low end torque and thus the feeling of being pushed. Handling feels MUCH more responsive with less input in my ISF.

Default dirty looks?

ISFVSS, I'm just curious what looks they give you as I have an ISF with X force as well. I remember one older guy rolled down his window and informed me how horrible my car sounded and imitated the "noise" it made.I yelled, I know it's a piece of junk it's horrible"..... as he had a Camry.
