Default Yellow Fog Lights

I did a little searching but the threads seemed old and quickly got off topic. Not wanting to argue about putting film on the glass Looking for a bulb that people have used in the past that works well. Started to do a little research on LED's but i don't want a big project here if it involves doing any new wiring or much taking apart of things. Please provide links if you know of a good deal!

You basically have two options LEDS and HIDs.

From my experience LEDs will have more of that yellow look, but the light output wont be as good. HIDs will not have as yellow of a look, but will produce more light. Adding yellow vinyl to the fog lights will help get more of a brighter yellow look when paired with HIDs

Ha, so I guess I'm right back where the other threads left off. Is there a yellow glass housing I can replace them with or a consensus on the best vinyl to use here?

I run Putco Jet Yellow bulbs with laminex overlays - look/work great.

How do these bulbs compare to the stock bulbs? Would I get nearly the same effect putting the yellow lamin-x over the fog light with stock bulb?

Wattage wise - I believe they are the same.

Since the putco is a yellow halogen, the overall effect is through the overlay is a deeper yellow color than you would get with a white halogen bulb.

So yes, very close to the same result...slightly paler yellow when using stock bulb.

Ok, just ordered the lamin-x. I'll see how that work and order the bulbs if i want more yellow to come through.

I've been using Piaa halogens for the past 3 years. Super yellow with no issue. They're plug and play so I'd say that's your easiest route besides vinyl.

Any chance you could show me a pic with them turned on at night?

I'm running LEDs from a company called Auxbeam - love them, just as much light output as the halogens I replaced, if not more, but with the led look. They come with yellow bulb covers that work great, and they're plug n play. I'll get some pics of them...
