Default Continental Dw on sale

Hey guys I'm not sure if it is ok to post these links, if it's not I will delete it.

Recently got a nail in the side of my tire, so I need to buy a new set to of rears. The dealer that sold me the car put all seasons on it so I figured I may as well upgrade to summers, since I have dedicated winters.

I really wanted to try out the Kumho PS91 but I couldn't pass up this deal.

255/35R19 & 275/30R19 for $575.42

Or 245/35R19 & 275/30R19 for $521.42

I just picked those up today but the fronts were $124 and rears were $148. Haven't put them on yet but for the price, I had to get them.

That indeed is a pretty decent price compared to what I paid for four of those tires earlier in the year. I think I paid $210 per tire when it was all said and done.

Word of advice if you are looking at this tire for its great warranty. Discount Tire stated the Continental DWS had the best warranty around and I discussed the inner-tire wear issue with ISF's prior but it did not do much good when the premature inner-tire reared its ugly head around 8 months later again. I think I got maybe 10% off the next set of fronts after a bunch of bickering. Continental said it was due to improper alignment, Discount Tire (who did the alignment) stated the tires were aligned properly.

I have never gotten a warranty/discount for the inner-wear on other brand tires on the F so no real complaints and the tire in my opinion is a good dd tire in the Southeast. Cannot speak through track use or snow use if that applies but for the price you found, I think you will get what you pay for and I think it will be hard to beat when just looking at cost comparison.

I did not have a good experience with those. I took 'em off and replaced them with Bridgestone S-04. A much better summer Max Performance tire IMHO:

I have the DWs. I had a bad tire that cost me 3 months, 3 alignments and new set of LCA bushings before I figured out what was wrong - I was shipped a bad tire what caused radial pull (car would wander/pull under acceleration). After I got my replacement tire I have been very happy.

I'm also on Bridgestone S04's, but got the continentals for my Wife's infiniti. Even though they're two different cars, I can tell you that I prefer the ride quality, noise, and handling better on the S04. The continentals are ok, and for this price, its worth picking up an extra set of tires...

Pick up an extra set!

How do you find them? I have a set of Yokohama All Seasons right now, so surely these are better.

If memory serves correct, didn't you do a different wheel width with the Conti's? (I'll re-read it tonight)

^^^^Though I absolutely hate 'em as I posted above.

Car & Driver rated them below mid pack:

Customers of Tire Rack seem to like 'em.

They have soft sidwalls. They are a lightweight tire and that shows in the sidewall stiffness. The ride is very smooth, outright grip is good, but cornering confidence definitely suffers.

Just got the tires installed yesterday and an alignment done today and these tires are great. It has been raining like hell but these tires are handling it like it's not a big deal.

I started kicking out the back end with my all seasons pretty frequently so I'm happy about that.

My caster is still out on my alignment though. Anyone have that issue?

Just ordered a set in 245/285 for $750 with an alignment! You can't beat them for that price. They are a little noisy but with headers and exhaust you can't hear a whole lot else anyway lol.
