Default Lexus ISF reliability

I read a lot of things on the forum. I know everyone loves their F's, but am I noticing a big increase with problems in these cars? It seems to me a lot of people are posting with issues that can't be figured out, or with issues that have become very costly. Or is it just me over reacting? They made very few examples, we know this, but just throwing it out there, is the fact they had a small budget for this car costing in the long run? Just some thoughts and opinions

No reliability issue with my ISF. However, my wallet has reliability issues, money keep falling out for mods. 😲

I have a 2012 model, I have had multiple track days and drove it through winter. I have not had ONE single problem of something breaking on the car. All that was spent on the car was gas, oil, tires, brakes, and few mods. There have literally been no need to replace anything on the interior, exterior, or mechanically.

Right granted that there are people out there that aren't having issues. It just seems like many people are posting issues. I am looking for my next ISF no doubt. Just hope age isn't exposing some potential reliability things.

I wouldn't pay that, have you had them off and apart yet? Even if it can't be fixed, get a replacement off eBay?

Had issues with mine when I tried installing the Carbon version, but both are working fine now.

No more so in terms of issues than any other make/model I'd say....

Every car is different in terms of mechanical sympathy, servicing intervals, types of use etc.

Cant say I've had any issues with my 08.

Far more horror stories from the BMW, Audi, Nissan camps I believe..

In my opinion I would not pay anywhere near rhat price. Be vigilant and for about 1500 more get one in the 26-27 range with 60k.

folks having issues tend to post it wherever to express their frustration..so it might seem like there are a lot more issues
i believe most of us are pretty trouble free
my 2011 has almost 90k miles and nothing ever goes wrong outside of regular maintenance
and even if something is to go wrong it's not terrible to repair relative to a 60k+ msrp car
e.g. if the transmission is to go it's under 2k to get a used one (try PDK or GTR&M3's DCT)

Sure the F has some problems, good luck finding a car of this caliber without them - at least we don't have to worry about our cars ****ting their entire engines or our transmissions blowing up. And most issues posted here seem to be one off issues that most haven't had, like the person who's downshift paddle wouldn't work.

Reliability is the ISF's middle name Other than a few nominal 'issues' this car is bulletproof in comparison to others in/of this caliber.

. Yes I owned one for a short time. Had to sell and now am looking again. I have owned 4 Toyotas and currently own 2 an IS300 by the way, and the ISF is special. The trannys seem to be bullet proof. And the **** on saying 8 speeds was to many lol. Car magazines that don't know how to drive what's new.
