Have a new addition to the gtr family! I can't wait for him to enjoy this wonderful hobby and I hope it brings him as much joy as it brings me. I used to have different project cars(2 chevelles, Camaro, demon) that my father and I would work on when I was in high school and it was an amazing time. They weren't the nicest cars but it was all about the experience. I'm definitely glad we have car forums like this one to share our passion and help one another out. I already ordered a gtr onesie and one that says launch control on it!

Went to New England dragway last night with some friends and had a blast. Ran super consistent times. There was a beautiful white gsf there that was running 12.9@110 almost every run...such a great looking car

Forgot to add that there were 2 slightly older c63 amgs with at least exhaust and they were not impressive in the least. Both ran low 13s multiple times and were both slower than the gsf

Been a little over a year with my 15’ gtr and I have to say the car still impresses me every time I drive it! I will say that the isf is a special car that I do miss from time to time. Overall ownership has been a piece of cake with only a couple oil changes at $65 a piece at the dealer. I can’t comment on the earlier years but I highly recommend the 15’ and up if your considering a switch. I put a midpipe on for more sound, picked up a little power in the process and ran a best of 11.1@125( not bad for a stock car). Both the isf and gtr are special cars and good at different things obviously so I can’t really say which one is better...if your looking for criticism check out the zl1 thread

I'm glad you're enjoying your GTR. There's always been so much hoopla about which car an owner should get if he/she needed to replace the IS F. Looks like maintenance on the R35 isn't nearly as overblown as people on those forums make it out to be. I'm hoping your baby boy will grow to appreciate cars. Always a nice father-son bond when wrenching on a car, any car.

Have you had to do brakes yet? Are you doing the regular trans/ diff fluids changes?

neat to see one daily driven in a colder climate. I only see gtrs around here at the track usually. I rarely see them on road, even during summer.
