RC-F Differential into IS-F?

Since my first post I've looked into this a bit more. The differences to the housing/cover seem to be somewhat minor but may pose some issues.
The main housing and rear cover are both definitely different. The IS F has cooling fins on the underside, top side and rear cover. The RC F only has cooling fins on the underside and rear cover, but not on the top side. The RC F differential housing seems to be lightened a bit (there is a void in the front mounting arm on one side). Beyond that the housing looks very similar and may actually bolt up without too much trouble. The rear LH mount on the RC F has the 2 mounting bolts arranged vertically, while on the IS F the bolts are arranged horizontally.
I would expect that if you swap the IS F rear cover on to the RC F differential it will likely bolt in without issue, but that's assuming that the front mounts are in the same position, which I can't tell for sure without measuring. They look right though.
EDIT:
IS F
RC F

The bushing is round on the outside, so the orientation of the bolts isn't a big deal at all. Just reclock the bushing - put in a polyurethane set - and all is good.

There are options. I'd still probably just grab an IS F Torsen if I was going to do it though, no fuss for the same performance.

If anyone in Atlanta wants to try it out, I'll help with the install at no cost to the owner. I am really curious if it will fit.

Shoot! This is a great opportunity for any 08/09 owner that's been thinking about getting an OEM diff (torsen 10+) or a Giken!

Bring this back from the dead... Tomorrow I will be receiving my 2015 RC-F LSD with 36k miles on it that I bought for 850$. I will be installing this into my 2008 IS-F, and looks like I will be able to swap the rear covers to solve the rear mount problem...I will keep you guys posted and post pics...and just to let you know there are way more RC-F lsd diffs for sale that IS-F lsd diffs...bunch on ebay

I was tempted to get an RC-F shortblock as well but I'm concerned about higher compression pistons and the stock ECU being able to compensate for such.
