I don't believe I have seen this done before but it turned out great! One of the things I never liked on the ISF was the bright silver carbon. Let me know what you guys think!

***10/4/2016 UPDATE*** As promised guys, here are the completed pictures. Turned out so awesome!

***10/3/2016*** UPDATED- Here are a couple new pics. First compares smoke to dark black. Second pic is dark black.

That actually looks pretty darn good. I might want it a little darker but darn close to a CF trim setup. Well done!

What did you end up using? Do you think it will be durable?

Here is the Amazon link : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's looks like it's on backorder for about a week. It should be pretty durable though if it's meant to go on headlights. It was really thick.

Looks good! What a good idea. It makes for a really cheap alternative to buying black CF.

Agreed this is a good idea. I have a few dark carbon pieces in my F now and always look down at the bright silver carbon wishing they would match. As said above, a bit darker and I'd be sold!

Looks pretty good

Which color did you use? Smoke Black? If, so Dark Black may be just the ticket for redcrxsi & ROYALISF

I used smoke black. The reason I didn't do dark black is because I don't want it to be so dark that you can't see the carbon fiber pattern. It may not be though!

That looks fantastic, awesome idea pal.

I bought one of those black/blue carbon "sticker" kits from CarID and immediately returned. I had a feeling it would look horribly cheap & it did. This does not.

Any thoughts on the removal? Does it seem strong to the point where it'd damage the parts underneath?

It sticks really well but there shouldn't be any issue with damage. It would just be like peeling any other vinyl sticker off.

Ha I tried the same blue/black thing on one of my previous cars and returned it too, horrible stuff that taught me a lesson.
