WOW @gromaudio you want $20 for an Android upgrade despite the fact you originally promised 7.1 almost 6 month's ago.
Question for you, how many guys do you think will support you going into the future with decisions like this? Getting info from you is like getting blood from a stone then on the quiet you start telling people who ask it'll cost money??
Question for you US guys... In the UK we have whats called a trade descriptions act, if the sales advert mentions it will come with whatever version of an OS, it simply has to or the company can be taken to court and fined for breaking that. Don't you have anything similar?

8.1 update will have pretty much the same apps right now. Adding the following now:

@gromaudio You've completely mislead your customers here, 7.1 was going to be a free update, your support told me that over live chat in July 2018 when I was considering a purchase. I bought in August 2018 and contacted you again in November, this time your rep told me you wasn't going to release 7.1 and that 8.1 would be a free update.

Amazing, if I wanted to buy this, I'd have to pay more for the shipping than the product price. How is it possible to get an item from China weighing more with free postage.
@gromaudio I've religiously endorsed this product on a UK Lexus forum although you've blown it, I won't be recommending this any more, what an absolute con!

Yes, hilarious isn’t it? And like Grom are so on the button with all things to do with dates!!!! They consistently fail to deliver upgrades on dates that they set themselves and then totally miss out on OS editions so that current ones are now so out of date cannot be updated OTA! And Knock me back for being 3 days adrift on Their upgrade eligibility date, mazin,
But don't expect a response from GROM, as they seem to be selective as to what they answer and shy away from the tricky or awkward queries.
Spend your money wisely guys. And yes I have also spent time showing friends and work colleagues this device but this affair has left a bitter taste in my mouth and so I won't be doing that any more!

i think Grom should rethink their strategy of charging for the upgrade. Pretty clear cut false advertising and CA has some awfully strong protection laws. Just fix this, Grom. Don’t make someone sue you.
