Default Costco Battery Group 34 Fitment 9 for ISF

I needed a group 24 battery but Costco didnt have it so i bought group 34 fitment 9 because size is almost the same as the OEM (Panasonic)

It turns out the Group 34 Fitment 9 fit almost perfectly in the ISF, It is a little shorter but the advantage are this battery has 800 cca and only 35 lbs.

Just wanted to let everyone know just in case you need a battery for the ISF and you have to buy one from Costco. I love Costco. Price is 82.99 Plus your core.

Thanks for this - good to know. What kind of warranty is Costco giving for batteries these days? It's been a while since I bought one there...

Costco Interstate car battery failures are replaced for free within 42 months of the purchase date. They have this on their battery (42 month free replacement). I'm sure they will honor it since it is Costco.

Costco batteries are the BEST because of their warranty. I love their zero hassle return policy. Every other place I have purchased a battery from makes you jump through flaming hoops of fire and stand trial to prove the battery is "bad". Not Costco.

Thanks for the heads up. Was going to buy a battery from Costco, so I'm glad I saw your thread. Apparently they don't carry the fitment for our cars because it's not common enough, so this sizing will have to do!

Yes to a certain point.
The starter relay is designed with a certain AMPS in mind. If you allow more amps to be cranked it can lead to a relay failure. Normally it's not really an issue since you don't start your car constantly but in a case where someone would crank the car very often (like a manual car where someones learning to drive...) it could lead to this failure.

OP, What did you use to make up for the shorter height of this battery? In your pic it looks like a perfect fit.

Someone said you can put a 3/4" plywood under the battery for perfect fit.

I don't think that is necessary. I have the battery and it fits just fine without anything under it.
