Hey guys,

Have an 08 with 93k on it. I bought it with 65k and ever since I have owned it (2 years or so), it has made a ticking noise almost like a pushrod V8. No issues or CEL or loss of power. It sounds like a timing chain or something that could be loose since there is no pushrods. It roars without the ticking and seems to only do it at idle, or at least only is noticeable at idle.

Has anyone else seen or heard this issue? I was thinking of trying an oil stabilizer to make the oil thicker and see if it was the valve train or something outside of the case.

I have I/E/H/n20 and was planning to supercharge once available so I figured it would be a good time to look into this to see if I should do timing chains.

it sounds like a cracked exhaust manifold, never mind just saw you already have headers

Engine tick is normal for Fs, its the injectors.

if you haven't installed them yet then i am 100% sure it is the infamous exhaust manifold crack, the noise comes usually from the right passenger side
