Default $400 to vinyl wrap trim side windows?

I was just quoted $400 to get the chrome trim around the side windows in Portland Oregon. The shops in central Oregon wouldn't even do it.

And the Portland guys said $100 for the chrome trim around the grill..

Seems a little high

Definitely high. I'm in the vinyl wrap business. It should take a little over an hour to do a chrome delete on the side windows.

I wouldn't pay no more than $150.

I wouldn't pay more than $10 worth of vinyl and DIY. It's pretty easy if you're ok with a 5' job (looks great from 5' away)

Of course but if you're going to shop, you gotta charge a minimum. Definitely not $400 though.

I'll second the Outmotoring option. I've got the gloss version and I love it. I bought two packs but I only needed one to get the job done. It's always nice to have extra if needed. And it's cheap too! It's a similar weight to plumbers tape and is very easy to work with. I'm sure you can find something to do with the extra $380 you'll have.

Honestly you can do this yourself.

Originally I went to a guy who wraps cars and was told it was difficult and he couldn't do it.

So I did it myself, just bought the strip for something like $15 and finished the installed in an hour or two.

Clean, peel, and stick. Just like applying a decal to your window! I cut my own strips and then trimmed them down, that window trim specific tape would have saved me 30 min on a 45 min job!

+1 for the tape from out motoring. Very easy to do. There is a thread with hot to do the rear quarter window trim since it's a bit tricky on that curve in the rear.

It cost me less than $400 to CF wrap the hood on my previous car. $400 is just insane. I'm gonna check out this outmotoring kit that everyone else is posting. Not a fan of chrome

Fourth recommendation on the tape from outmotoring. I've had mine on for over two years and it still looks great.

Another vouch for the Mini Cooper tape. The flat black looks stock.
