Default ISF VS C63...different race

So following on from another post where a member posted an ISF VS C63 reminded me of my race last weekend with my cousin.

Hope no one minds the vids, C63 is stock and had bad tires so he was wheel spining a bit (not my problem ) but it does show you how much of a difference there is between getting a good launch and a bad launch.

Really comes down to the driver on this one, if I get a good start I loose him. If he gets a good start then I will slowly start to catch up on him by end of 3rd 4th gear but couldn't do this in our situation:

The last race was cut in the end because we both had to brake so nothing to show after that.

Nice runs. I love the sound of the IS F.

I always thought the C 63 was in a completely different class than the IS F? More on the level of say the CTS-V or something.

Nice runs. Did you shift in manual mode?

The ISF was very competitive with it's competition for it's day, it kinda sat in the middle between the E90 M3 and the W204 C63, actually in a few comparison tests has it trapping nearly identical to the C63.

Now Lexus dropped the ball with the new current generation F cars, the RCF and GSF are definitely outclassed by it's current rivals, the new twin turbo M3s and C63s.

Really nice race ! Camera angle is great, captured the race perfectly, and man does your car sound healthy : ) Thanks for sharing this clip man, really enjoyed it.

Yes, and 90% of the time I'm driving in Manual, even daily drives.

imo if you don't drive manual in a race then you're not getting the full potential.

Awesome video. It goes to show you that it's not always the car that does the work, but the driver needs to know too.

Great runs. Its definitely a driver's race. If you're just a split second late when hitting the gas, he wins, and the other way around. What mods do you have?

great video. I have never been afraid of the M3s on the track and absolutely not on the highway , BUT I have been a little nervous around the C63. I have only seen 2 in AZ but have never had a chance to run with one. I would have assumed we would have gotten smoked with the added torque, but it looks like out 8 speed and close ratios really help keep the engine on boil. I passed a GT500 on the track Saturday on a corner before the straight and I stayed 5 cars ahead of him the entire 5/8th mile of the straight. I was AMAZED.

F!!!

PPE Headers and Joe-Z Cateless exhaust, that's pretty much about it as far as performance.

Just waiting for the tune next.

Amazing production values on your vid there, Mr. D. And looks like lotsa fun.

Have been pricing 2008 - 2010 C63s lately, in this part of the world they seem to have depreciated a bit more than our cars.

That Merc really roasts its weenies on a roll.
