I'm actually pretty impressed... The M3 forums have come a long way since the ISF was released; it used to be a complete bash.
The ISF/RCF are generally love it or hate it cars. Personally I absolutely love the looks, driving dynamics and care and attention I receive from the dealership (the very ODD time I am there).
I shopped the M4 before buying my RCF after owning 2 ISF's, and I can tell you that the interior is extremely bland and outdated, and that the power delivery would be useless for me as a daily driver in anything but bone dry summer conditions (I winter drive my RCF in Alberta)
The M cars are beautiful, and I find myself looking at them prior to any other purchase however I haven't been able to pull the trigger yet.

I'd get a M3 or M4, but I think maintenance (and the savings you need to constantly have for when something goes wrong) turns me away from them at this point in my life. Aesthetics, power, and fun-factor are all turn ons for me. But cost of ownership is too much of a boner kill.

Very good point. I miss my manual STI a whole lot and I'm really really considering a newer manual CTS-V next. That's why I have my car halfway back to stock.

i would lie if i say i don't like BMW's specially the M3 as they were both my 1st choices before i bought my 2002 is300 and my 2008 isf. what made me choose the lexus over the bmw's were two factors 1 the reliability and 2 four doors 3. many bmw people have said the 2008 m3 e90 engine is the most reliable engine bmw has ever built but once i saw this video my choice was even easier.
anyways on topic with the thread it is funny how much they bashed the isf and now how they have respect for it

From the comments toward the end it sounds like Frank @ TTFS is tuning some of the E90 series M3's from what I can tell?
