Default IS-F: Engine as bullet proof as 250/350?

I have an IS250 and so far so good. No engine issues.

More then likely will keep IS250 and get an IS-F.

Any lingering issues with IS-F engine? Is it bulletproof as well and what has been your real life MPG?

Thanks

Nobody has had any real engine issues. Water pump fails in the 08-09 models, but other than that no real engine issues. I get 16-19mpg in the city and 24-25 on the highway.

Ditto. I don't daily mine but my commute is 5 miles to work and 5 home.

The 250 is bulletproof? Don't they have excess carbon build up issues?

yea the 250 has that carbon buildup issue, meanwhile the 350 and F do not.

I've been getting around 20-21 mpg on my ISF, with a 30 mile round trip to work and back and 18 miles of highway driving.

14 track days in less than 2 years. This mother F'er is STRONG. She just smiles at me and picks her teeth. This was the first Lexus performance car. Trust me when I said they built this thing to last because they knew their rep was on the line .

Not only did Lexus make consumer reports top ten for most reliable auto manufacturer, but they are number one on the list.

this is why I was wodering when I initially read the post. I was like wait a minute. Those early 250s had issues with the motors gumming up.

Bulletproof and 250 don't belong in the same sentence.
