United Auto Car Warranty through Lexus dealer
I was offered a United Auto Care extended warranty from a Lexus dealer for a 2013 IS F for 6 yr or 85k miles from the day you purchase the car for $2351 with $0 deductible. I also got a quote for Lexus platinum 8 yr or 100k miles for $3635 with $0 deductible but it starts from
original sale of car date. The finance manager said that United Auto Care can cover everything that Lexus platinum can so wanted to get your thoughts.
Has anyone bought and used United Auto Care and can share some experiences?

Less than 11,000 miles. It's still under factory warranty but just wanted to get some quotes for extended warranty.

I got the Platinum one for around what you paid. I got it on my 2011 last year when I purchased it. It's not 8 years though. It was 6 years or 100,000 (total) from time of purchase (7/2015). Some of the car is covered under limited warranty since it was L certified and some is still covered under mfg warranty like the emissions system.
I went with the warranty because the motor is close to $20k new and the transmission close to $10k new. The rest I can deal with. It kind of sucks but since it was used I just figure better to be safe then sorry. I feel comfortable beating the snot out of it. Down side is no mods unless you're prepared to prove without doubt the mod did not cause the malfunction.
Lexus also offered a premium oil change program (which I didn't want) and an insurance plan for just the wheels (which I declined). Later I curbed a wheel and went to look up the price of the wheel, $1500 per wheel. Right... Or I could get carbon fiber wheels in any size I want. Whichever...
