Default How to buy tires for Lowered ISF?

Looking to purchase new set of summers for my 09F.

Current setup is Ventus V12 225-45-19 front, 255-35-19 Rear.

The car was purchased lowered, i am not sure what brand springs they are. Only thing i know is they are gold. Maybe Teins?

Looking to upgrade to Michelin PSS 245-40-19 and 265-35-19 but not sure how to calculate clearance. Ive heard the sidewall is bigger than most other brands.

I brought it to Lexus dealer but was told they didn't want to be responsible with ordering wrong tires and them not fitting....

Heres how it currently sits.

245/40 is oddly tall, why are you choosing that size?

245/35/19 is sticking closer to OEM. a 40 series sidewall will be much taller than OEM.

Are you running spacers? Hard to tell from those pics. If you are, you could remove them if you have clearance issues. Those tires should fit fine.

245 35 / 275 30 or 285 if you have the wider stock wheels

I have swift springs and just put 265/35's on the rear (2012+ rims) - heaps of room left!

Your front clearance is low because of the taller 225/45. Why did the po install lowering springs with a taller front tire if the roads are that bad??

I would replace the tires with stock sized ones (225/40 & 255/35).

You can get the right size stock tires or upsize . I'm lowered with 245 35 without any problems like many on here.

Would you mind posting a picture of the clearance on the front? Curious how close you come to the nut holding the wheel well

To resolve your issue, locate a tire size calculator and take a few minutes to review it.

I found a good one @ Discounttire.com (sorry for not indicating an actual link).

Your tires are pretty close to the fenders. I'd get OEM tires and (possibly) raise the car a bit. Get some C/O if you can.
