Default Vacuum leak sound at 1500rpm (Fixed: pulley tensioner)

Usually after i run the car in manual/sport mode, I begin to hear a high-pitched 'hissing/whistling' noise coming from the engine. It sounds like a vacuum leak. It is audible while driving with the windows down.

I am having problems pin pointing the source, but it sounds like its coming from the center block. Can anyone point me in the right direction to the leak? It starts exactly at 1500 and cuts off at 2200 rpm (while in gear). 1500 to 3000 rpm while in park..

ps. I have a Takeda intake installed and I re-tighten the fittings.

Bumping this cause I seem to be hearing the same from my car. I've noticed it ever since I had my headers installed (no idea if that can even cause the suction noise, but I noticed it right after I got my car back from the header install). I assumed it was normal and never brought up the subject, but curious to see if anyone else is getting the same noise.. I also have an aFe drop in filter but I definitely had the noise before I switched from the oem filter.

I am reverting back to the stock airbox to isolate it.. But its more of a whistling noise than a suction.

Still having the issue, and the dealer can't replicate it - to recommend any action. I switched back to the stock airbox and nothing changed. My hearing is not as precise, but I think I've localized it towards the firewall (offset to the passenger side).

Here;s a video of what it sounds like.

Sounds like something on one of the belts...have you checked the belt tensioner/accessories for any loose pulleys or bolts?

The tech had it for a week, checked all the pulleys and found nothing. During my ELF recall they overfilled my coolant and it sprayed everywhere so i thought it was contamination but the belts look clean.

Its odd that this comes on after I run the car in Manual mode (****ing at 5k). It comes on more during hot days (regardless of A/C on/off).

That would have been the logical thing to do first take the serpentine belt off and listen, glad you got it fixed..

Did you ever take a video of the problem? Curious how it sounded.
