Default 2016 Refresh - Like New Again

My IS-F is a 2008 with about 50K miles on it. I've owned it for a little over 4 years, and even though I take good care of all my cars, this one needed a little refresh since it is my daily and the front end has gotten a little rough over the years.

List of items added/replaced...
  • 2014 headlights: I absolutely hated my chrome housing, faded headlights. I've had them cleaned a couple times but the yellow keeps coming back so I took the plunge and got a new set. Followed a few of the usual DIY posts on how to rewire and modify the brackets and got through it yesterday.
  • 2014 OEM LED fog lights: I was actually in the middle of the job when a friend recommended to upgrade to the direct swap '14 LEDs. I quickly called JM Lexus and got lucky that they had them in stock. Great mod while it was all apart anyway.
  • New bumper: old one had a bunch of rock chips and a few nicks in it. I wanted it to be perfect so instead of trying to get this one cleaned up, I picked up a brand new one and swapped everything over. (Old one is available cheap if anyone wants something to work on)
  • New Tom's lip: I already had a Tom's lip and love the look but wanted it all to look new. The one I had had a couple small nicks on the bottom and the clearcoat has a slight fade to it in a few spots. I guess I could have polished it out and maybe re-clearcoat, but I decided to pick up a new one instead. (Old one will be for sale at a bargain. No cracks in it anywhere).
  • ebay Wald rep rear wing: bought from one of the usual links recommended here on CL. Fitment was good but the body shop still had a couple hours of work on it to make it perfect (edges were rough). I decided not to have it molded for now. Maybe in the future.
  • Refinished ADV1's: The wheels were originally brushed with chrome lips. Over time, the chrome on the lips needed some work so I sent the wheels back to ADV's and had them changed over to Titanium centers with Brushed Gunmetal lips. Went for a more stealth look over the originally shiny finish. It was like getting new wheels for it, completely changed the look.
There used to be 7 or 8 IS-F's at my office, but the guys are slowly converting over to RC-F's. I'm resisting the switch since I need the 4 doors for the kids, so I decided to refresh it a little so I feel like I got a new car. Should hold me over for a while. I recently picked up a 2001 996 Turbo with 6700 miles, so my attention is slowly shifting to that project.

Here are some pics.

I'm in Boca.
No AFS on the new headlights. I get the normal AFS blinking light on dash.

OP I'm in Miami I'm looking to eventually embark into a similar project. Can you PM the body shop that painted your new bumper? Also PM how much was your new bumper? Was it purchased by Sewell as well? Thanks! Your F looks very awesome!

SoulFreak, Sunshine Collision in Boca is the only place I trust down here. They have done all our cars and they always come out great. Talk to Ken and tell him Rob sent you.

Subtle updates to make the car newer and fresher. ADV's look spot on with your ride and the full LED front is now in line with the newer Fs. I've been thinking of taking the plunge myself for a set. Great work!

It was from a seller called Oemdirect and I paid right around $75 so pretty cheap. Fitment lines up really well on each side and on top of trunk. It came with a tube of adhesive but we ended up using 3m double sided tape instead. You will have some work to do on the edges to make it smooth and perfect. Can't complain for $75.
