Default Brake Upgrades for Stock Brakes

Good Afternoon CL,

After installing a n20 kit, it has become very obvious I need to look at upgrading the brakes.

I went ahead and got Hawk track pads, with StopTech Steel lines.
Last thing I was wondering about is fluid.
Since I'm doing the lines, I figured it would be a good idea to do the fluid as well. (Yes I searched, All I found was rotors and pads)

What are some good fluids that are safe for our cars and wont fade so quickly?

You can review Motul RBF 600 & Castrol SRF. Both great products!

I just bought some of this:

http://speedfreaksusa.com/i-12200741...liter-can.html

It says DOT 5, but it's really DOT 4.

SpeedFreaks also carries more economical fluid and they give a CL Discount.

You really can't go wrong with any of the high end fluids. We have most of the major players including Motul RBF600, Motul RBF660, Performance Friction RH665, Project Mu G-Four 335 and my personal favorite, Endless RF-650

I love that setup...do you know if you can use endless mx72 with these rotors...? Do you mind if I ask how much did you pay for your setup...I know figs offer a package deal and am aware they discount 10% when you buy all 4 corners

Got my figs rotors at the same time, also got stoptech street pads, lines and fluid to complete it. Just ordered more fluid since I'm going to be applying gold g2 paint soon, I initially bought 3 and have quite a bit left over but my supra uses the same stuff.

No need to go with fancy fluid, regular brake fluid that is regularly maintained is fine. If you don't regularly change your fluid, you can have issues with vapor lock because brake fluid is hygroscopic. Aside from that, you're not going to be able to achieve the temperatures necessary in single runs to boil regular brake fluid. Even if you do occasional circuit racing that's overkill. At this point it's only going to be for bragging rights, it's not going to do anything to prevent brake fade. Read this if you want to learn about brake fade.
Your tires and your pads are going to be the biggest upgrades, because you are likely experiencing pad fade, followed by upgrading the entire brake system with larger calipers that are match such that they do not bias the braking forces too greatly to the front or the rear.
