Default RCF strut tower brace on an ISF?

Well got the idea from the CCSR cars with the triangulated strut brace. Then my buddy had an RCF and did some rough measurements. If you haven't seen it before I already test fitted an RCF engine cover which fits but requires to much wire rerouting. Enjoy.

Cool.

So the RCF brace bolts on? Any way to keep side engine cover pieces?

Question

Interesting thread.. I did research several months ago for different reasons..

There are 5 part numbers total which add up to over $300 MSRP

One Bracket at Firewall, Two L&R Bars & Two Brace Caps.

This does not include all the nuts needed..!!

So the info in this thread it a bit lacking ??

From the photos it doesn't seem to be fully bolted down at the brace caps / firewall..??
Is that just a photo during install or test fit???

Any other special modifications you had to make.??

What are the rest of your plans to make this work??

Our firewalls do not have a mounting point to secure the bracket..

And yes it seems the side covers would be a hard fit without cutting them up..

Right multiple parts with nuts. Also almost impossible to get. Took my guy a month to get them all. I paid 242.00 out the door. Test fit only no mods needed to brackets themselves.

All I need to do is attached to fire wall and massage egine cover in four places for clearances.

Well that and a BFH.

Oh I pulled side pieces years ago helps with cooling and adjusting my coilovers at track.

Why impossible to get ???

They are all USDM part numbers... Available through the Lexus parts counter..

Yes with a discount $240 is possible..

Looking forward to see how you will mount the firewall bracket..

.. And Final Fitment & Installed photos.

Not sure why impossible but like engine cover I had very few in us. I guess because rcf is so new and rare. I ordered from one place and they cancelled it out after week or so of waiting. Luckily I got a hook up locally at the dealership. Lol they even let me return rcf engine cover after I test fitted it.

I don't imagine I'll do the final installment until spring car sits in winter.

Don't rush to your dealer just yet. As Joe said, we don't know that it fits until it's torqued down and actually installed.

So are you able to mount to firewall without issue?

I'm curious to know like jz how it'll mount to firewall unless you're drilling your own?

Ouch next time I won't share. Sorry guys.

Yes will have to drill holes since our cars don't have factory mounting bolts. The basic dimensions work hand tight test fit.

Just sharing my info just like this that didn't quite work. You don't know unless someone tries it first.

I'm looking forward to this thread 100%..

Unfortunately, others will read post #1 and think it's a done deal..

Let me know if you need any help.. I was examining the firewall earlier this morning..
