Sounds good. If I get time I'll try to get installed sooner. I was kind of shocked it mocked up so close as is.

So the bracket at the firewall is not mounted because the studs in the RC F's firewall are not present in the F. Do we have anything there we could mount a bracket on? Maybe the one piece is a custom bracket for the F with all the other parts being OEM Lexus?

Yes that's correct we lack studs and reinforcement..

I was looking at the photos some more and he actually needs to flip the oreintation of the firewall bracket to match the RC F.

It is actually marked for L & R installation... Also the Bar tabs are marked L & R too.

Close up on RC F I have on file. The firewall bar is NOT symmetrical..
See below..

I like this whole idea of a strut reinforcement. Then again maybe it is not needed.

One option is to fabricate the bracket that attaches to the firewall. It looks as though there are two 2" X 2" plates attached (or welded) to the firewall on the RCF with a stud centered on each for the bracket. The two plates probably provide enough firewall support. If designed correctly the whole gismo should fit.

The engine cover may be an issue?

I second this, really appreciate you trying this out. If this can be made to work I think Lexus is going to owe you some commissions because I have a feeling a fair number of people would do this.

@Gearbangin, did you ever mount the RC-F shock tower brace?

on a similar note this winter I may end up rerouting some of the wiring and modules on top of the intake manifold to clean it up some. If I am successful with this and depending on what's left still covering the intake manifold once complete I may end up removing the manifold to have it polished.

I'll start a thread if and when I start this project.

No gave up would require too much modification. Went this way and posted more pics in a separate thread.
