Default New to the Lexus world

Hey all, I picked up my Obsidian Black a few weeks ago, I'm in absolute love. I've been into cars since I was a teenager, but this is my first Lexus (last 3 cars were a Civic, RSX and G35).

I was close to buying an IPL G37 (glad i didn't) but after driving my friend's IS F around i became obsessed with the idea of owning one. After some patience and searching I found the right one for me.

Here are some pics

Welcome to the foums brother. The ISF is a great car and i have owned mine for about a month and i cant wait to drive it ( when i am not).. Is that your buddies ISF that got you hooked in the pics you posted? Looks like mine :P

I also came from a long line of cars from hondas ( BB6 Prelude SH, 07 Civic SI, 90 EF) to euros ( 2000 Saab 9-3 Viggen and Volvo S60R) and it feels good to be back in Japanese hands.

Congrats on the new car. Before I bought mine, also a obsidian black IS-F, I was trying to find a clean IPL as well I loved the interior and exterior color on those cars, but after driving one, it just didn't feel right. I was actually between an IS350 and G37 but ended up buying an IS-F Way more fun honestly

Congrats man! It's so ironic you mention the G37 IPL. I test drove it right before the IS-F. I was sold on the IS-F immediately.

Congratulations and welcome to the exclusive is-f club! Hope you're enjoying it thus far.

I also noticed your front wheels were swapped. The is-f actually has corner specific wheels; only guys on here will ever notice .

Thank you! And yes that's my good friend's USB. Def helped influence my decision to get an F!

Thank you man! Yes the IPL has a great look and interior but I didn't fall in love while driving it. The F had me in love the first time I drove one.

Thank you! Funny, we were looking at the same types of cars. The IPLs are rare in their own right but I'm so happy I didn't go through with the purchase.

Thank you I appreciate it. And yes I actually noticed, and my friend later confirmed the dealership (bought from a Lexus) put the wheels on the wrong sides. But they put fresh rubber on them so I can't complain too much

Great color choice! I'm a bit biased, though. Expect a lot of maintenance in terms of detailing. Swirls love this color in particular. Other than that, it's all routine maintenance- oil changes, brake pad/rotors, tires, and the such. This car can handle it all and then some. Enjoy it to the fullest!
