We are required to put a tow hook, just in case u breakdown and need to be tow, they can take u right away... It's part of our waiver that we sign, if no tow hook, they use your A pillar...lol..

It just gives the car a more serious look and is obviously fully functional as a safety feature on and even off track. I would add it to my F. Have been eyeing the Tom's front lip too

hmmmm . I'll have to check out the trunk. Thanks for the heads up. Just for reference, is it hard to pop that cap off without damaging the bumper in case of use?

I'll have to bring a GoPro to my next track weekend. All I have from this last year is a few pics while parked between sessions.

Not at all. There is enough space to angle a small screwdriver in there. chris07is was the one that actually gave me the tip of covering it with a microfiber towel in case my strength was too much and I accidentally scratch around the tow hook cover area.

As for the tow hook itself, it is in our tool kit by the spare tire. We were required to have it installed at our track day or else, in the event of the car failing in any way, the track staff would need to tow it using their methods, which I'm guessing would result in either my rear diffuser or front lip scraping.

This was a great thread to start. Seeing the various Fs on the track should bring others into the forum and sharing our experiences on the track will make it that much more of a stronger F community.

My first track day ever was at Summit Point with an event called Helmets Off To Heros. A friend of mine put the bug in my ear so I signed up and the rest was history. Even though I suck I'm still Hooked!

Went up to Nuburgring the other day and did my first wet track ever. It was very slick on summer tires and with my lack of knowledge and confidence on a wet track I took it easy. I didn't want to be on one of the YouTube videos sliding into the guard rail.

Here are some shots of my car from the RR Racing sponsored track day a New Jersey Motorsports Park back in September.
