Made the same move a few months ago except I got a V sedan. Hope u got the 6 speed manual, I love rowing the gears again. Aftermarket is so cheap on the V. So far I have only added Airaid intake but for around $1500 u can add 100 horses at the wheel bringing it to 550 at the wheel, 650 crank.

Enjoy! Even with a small aftermarket for our cars, the reliability keeps me in the car. Hard to enjoy your car when it's in the shop.

Even if its the only thing they can do right, GM makes a good motor. However i could be wrong but don't the V's have some serious suspension reliability issues?

Congrats! I'm in the process of making a similar move (however going the Wagon route). Enjoy it!

Buddy had a lemon 5.7 GTO. Engine chewed itself to pieces in the first few thousand miles.
