Default Latest dyno run with the H&S exhaust fitted

Hi Guys,

Did post an update on my build thread about this, but doesn't look as if anyone has spotted it yet?!

Anyway, as part of the gearbox testing SRD are doing on my F this week, they strapped the car on the dyno yesterday.

Here is the video of the car in action (sadly the iPhone microphone crapped itself when faced with my lovely H&S system! Lol):

And here are a couple of photos to go with it. One of the car on the dyno, one of the results from the run.

Think that curve looks pretty good?

Hope you like it guys.

Cheers.

Putting down some real nice numbers!

Nope!

No headers as yet guys, just the H&S exhaust, uprated panel filter, HPS intake pipe, RR-Racing air/oil separator.

That figure is at the flywheel remember, not the wheels.

He's UK, that's at the flywheel.

Is your H&S just a backbox or intermediate pipes, cat pipes, etc?

Again, UK measures horsepower at the flywheel, not at the wheels. No drivetrain loss is accounted for, only minor parasitic drag from ancillaries. The car should make close to ~416 at the crank anyway - his particular car has some stout torque though, nearly 400 flywheel torques. Multiply his values by .83 to get something more akin to wheel horses (around 360whp, 341wtq).

Consider it a closer comparison to the sticker the car came with.

No, it's all the way back from the headers to real quad tips.

The second cats were removed, but there are two small silencers installed to try and reduce drone.

Sadly no one sees the claimed 417HP Lexus quoted on these cars.

Mine is now pretty much spot on with that figure, albeit at the flywheel as you've explained already.

The torque figures are strong, and the power curve looks good as well.

Headers will follow at some point in the future to hopefully improve things even further.

It's a work in progress, but the sound is pretty intoxicating!

Ah, header-back. I assume 'bespoke'?

What are you UK boys typically seeing at the flywheel?

Prior to the H&S I got 394.6, that was with a Takeda intake fitted, then with the HPS intake and uprated panel filter in the stock airbox, car made 404.3.

Now with the H&S it's up to the 418.2 you can see on here.

I love everything you've done with your F! Your numbers look mighty strong! It sounds and looks completely menacing! I'll have to take some of your ideas...lol. I wish your exhaust manufacturer sold their products here in the states. Awesome job!

Thanks guys, means a lot.

The exhaust is made here in the UK by a company called Hayward & Scott. They've been established for decades, and produce bespoke systems for all manner of exotica. Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Lexus!

I've asked them before about the possibility of selling these to you guys, but it's tricky without a LHD here to mock it up to.

These are handmade for every car from scratch. Nothing is off the shelf, hence the issue with doing a LHD version.

If we had a serviceman over at one of the U.K. bases with an F, things would be a lot simpler!

I know you guys would love these as the sound is awesome!

Having a bunch of GTR owners ask me to fire it up and rev it for them being one highlight so far!

Be fun to see how it sounds with headers installed. Hoping to do those in 2017, unless I get an unexpected windfall! Lol.

Got plenty of other plans before then though.

Thanks again for the kind words guys.
