So lexus will end the 5.0 V8 engine.....
Im having mixed feelings about this,i dont know if its good for us (because our F will be a collector's car because of the power the engine makes)
I just hope the new forced induction engine they are designing now will be less powerful than the mighty V8 engine we have....this way we dont have a reason to sell the car...

Sorry buts its gonna have to be more powerful and tunable on top, lol. Nervermind, they are never gonna beat the sound of it, neither the reliability 👍, I don't know how people spend nearly 100k on a v6, even if its faster, it gotta be different and sounding mean at that pricetag imo

That's disappointing, not a fan of all the downsizing + turbos no matter how much more efficient they are, can't come close to the noise made by a big NA engine. Was hoping to see F division stay NA V8

I know, but these are special cars but a saloon with a v6, even if its turbocharged, feels like its not worth it anymore, (like m4 vs 335), they say its for mpg but really its for cost of fabrication. Same for those cvt tranny everywhere, they should just turbocharged the 5.0 instead , how would that be for a statement?!?

Its a shame but it seems manufacturers are downsizing and adding turbos.
It's easier to make power for sure but nothin beats a high revving V8.
Classic case in point: the M3. Previous generation had NA High Revving V8, new one has Twin Turbo straight six. Sounds completely different, goes like mad.
The ISF will be a future classic for sure, I say!

I knew it was going to happen one day, but was hoping not anytime soon. I really wanted the next generation IS-F with that new V8 engine from the RC F / GS F. Oh well.

Epa
BMW just went back to the tried and true strait 6 and turbo it . To get around the epa. Or you might be driving a tubo v 8 with 600hp thats why we have the small motor coming back . They would probley like to keep the v 8s. Lexus and toyoto mayby abel to hang in there becouse they have the priius. Helping them with carbon credits just my 2 cents
