Default So confused with the 18s...need advice...

Im thinking of installing these advans...the downside is,they're 18s,my wife says im downgrading...ofcourse she does'nt care if they're lightweight, rare and jdm...can you guys help me decide whether i keep the stock...or buy the advans from my friend....the offset are perfect, sorry i did not check the actual numbers.after the pictures were taken,i installed back the stocks wheels because i know the TPMS will be bothering me,so i dont know if ride comfort will be a bit better and if my acceleration will really improve....im not really sure if i will benefit from downgrading to 18s.
Should i buy the advans?

The ride might not change that drastically. To counter the smaller wheel size, maybe upsize the tires with a greater sidewall. It would help with the tire sizes so we can give a better recommendation, but it appears this will appease everyone.

If the wife is riding a lot in the car, her opinion will matter. Happy wife, happy life.

I like them, but as mentioned above, you might want to upsize the tires for a larger sidewall. I think lowering the car will help as well.

It's a good look. I really like the look of those wheels. I'm personally a fan of 18 inch wheels on the F. I know a lot of people aren't. I'm also fine with the stock height and the functionality of having the stock height. I recently bought 18 inch wheels and I'm planning to run stock height for a while (I actually think the stock height on 18 inches is a good look). I wouldn't have purchased the 18 inch wheels if it wasn't for the fact that my stock wheels are extremely f'ed up. I chose 18 inch mainly due to the lighter weight and wide range of tire selections. Are you lowered in any way? It looks like you're stock, but in the first pic it also looks like your front is slightly more lower than the rear.

I like these on your car...I currently have a staggered set in 17 x 7.5 f & 18 x 9.5 r in a 45 mm offset I used on my '91 Mr2. Would like to find a pair in 18 x 8.5 or 18 x 9.5 to use on my Is-f. A question... what are the width & offsets of yours? (size info. should be cast into the inner mounting surface)

I guess you're looking for opinions, so here's mine. They look like dog ****. 18's and how plain they are do NOT belong on our car.

There's my 2 cents, take it or leave it.

^This more your "style" by taking a car (let alone doing this to a production racecar) and making it practically useless?

If you want to drive the car in the winter, it's going to be less expensive to ride on 18" winter tires...and that's what I plan to do. I don't really care what they look like, I just car they work and aren't $300/tire like 19" tires.

I like flush setups if that's what you're asking? But still functional, that demon camber **** isn't.

Fair enough. If you're going for practicality, sure 18s are acceptable. From his OP I was assuming he was asking about how they look, and personally I think the massive amount of fender gap are trashy.
