Default Oil change intervals?

I run full synthetic Castrol EDGE Extended Performance with 10% synthetic oil stabilizer and a k&n filter. What intervals do you guys change your oil at? I was thinking 8k as the oil says up to 15k without the stabilizer.

I run full synthetic but still change every 3k. Probably wasting my money but, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Default Oil change intervals?

Look up a thread from lobuxracer where he sent all his oil off to get it tested and with mobile 1, the test show no breakdown in oil even at 10k and some track time. Pretty amazing. Personally I'm going to do it at 7500 intervals because.... I like getting under my car and working on it.

do 8k. send sample to blackstone. results will determine next oci. if its short trips then reduce oci.
no need to use oil stabilizer

5w-30 Castrol Edge Synthetic on the road and on the track. Oil looks like new, going to send the sample to blackstone labs.

I did 10k miles on my most recent oil change with mobil 1 synthetic. Blackstone summary recommended 12k OCI for the next one.

I do between 6-7k miles with synthetic. That's basically 2 oil changes a year for me. I don't like going to long without changing the fluids.

Most of you guys waste a lot of time and money on oil for absolutely nothing measurable.

Honestly, the 5k interval is playing it very conservatively. I know a few Lexus techs who say that the car can easily go 7.5-10k miles in between oil changes. The only ones who I have seen stick to the manufacturer's recommended OCI are those who lease the vehicle, as it is part of the maintenance plan, or those who just rather pay others to do it and not worry about the process. Of course, to get a true OCI, Blackstone's oil testing is the way to go. It is money saved in the long run by having it tested at each recommended oil change.

I actually sent my sample to Blacklabs about 15mins ago, lol! I am curious to see the results. I am about to 90k miles and my car hits triple digits daily. I have been doing oil changes at 6k trying to play it safe but like lobuxracer said a lot of us are throwing away time and money. I want to know where I stand with my current intervals and if I can save time and money that would be awesome!!

Which series are you running?
Have you ever had it analyzed?
I wonder how that 25k interval actually holds up?
Why such close intervals? That's supposed to be some serious stuff.
