Default Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric 2 now available for ISF

Happy to see that the Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric 2 is now available for ISF in my preferred size of 245/35/19 Front and 275/30/19 for the rear.

I had "asymmetric 1" on my previous car and absolutely loved them.

These are a great alternative for the Michelin PSS tires. Same rating and weight (actually the rears are 1 pound lighter) I have nothing negative to say about the Michelins as I have them on my ISF right now, but for someone who likes to go sideways every now and then the Goodyears are a great alternative at $866 (Tirerack) for the set of four vs $1131 for Michelins.

Just placed the order for set of four in size 245/35/19 and 275/30/19.
They should be in on Friday.
I am going with America's Tire Co.

TOTAL out of the door (incl. Instal, tax, rebuild of TPMS) ...... $1055.

I will provide some feedback in couple of weeks coming of the Michelins PSS.

I'm a fan of the Hankook V12 Evo for budget tires. I dd, so they feel the same as any other tire (on prev. cars). Not sure what the gap is against a PSS.

^^^ I hate the V12 EVO, they have such a soft sidewall that changing lanes at high speeds or hard cornering is not funny. My trust in these tires was so bad that I had to replace them in less than 5k miles.

I absolutely loved the Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric, great performance tire. I guess version 2 is an improvement over version 1, so it has to be good.

Michelin PSS is the tire to beat, and so far there is nothing better than the PSS unless you go to R-compond tires. The V12 EVO is light years away from the PSS.

Yes, that's how I feel about it.
With the money I saved, I am getting Fig's lower control arm bushings.

What Juanca said. These tires came on my car when I bought it. I could tell right away they were terrible, soft sidewalls and terrible handling characteristics. Just not a tire for this car. I bought the PSS's and it was a nice and day difference.

I just ordered the same ones in identical sizes as you. They sent this email to me saying that the rear tire chosen, 275/30, would be a bit short for the car. Did you have this size previously without issue?

Yes , I have the 275/30/19 in the rear, as many others here.

Update:

Looking at the Michelins and Goodyears side by side the thread pattern is so similar, YES!!

I received $80 back from the Michelin for the rear set, no warranty for the front due to the inner wear, thank you Lexus :-)

Goodyears has $60 rebate right now.

Total cost = $905.24 WOW (that's after the rebate)

These tires are so much wider!!!!
There are some indications that my 15mm spacers in the rear might not be getting along with the widht.

Awesome protection for the rims, there is absolutely no chance of getting a curb damage with these.

I will break them in and report back.

UPDATE: as the tires are breaking in, while still wider, it seems the might line up fine.

Those F1 Asymmetric 2's do look similar to the PSS.

Here's a C&D comparo between the tires.

Spoiler:
PSS: 1st place.
Asymmetric 2: 6th place.

^ The 3rd and 4th place tires should not be in the test IMO, they are not max performance tires.

I am in love with the PSS. If I switch I'm going with the RE-11's. I think the Goodyears would be a good alternative if you do not do track time.
