OK this is a shot in the dark, but.........
Would anyone around the Houston area like to trade engine covers? I have a silver one and would like a newer black one. Mine is in real great condition, im just trying to darken my engine bay a bit. Perhaps someone with a 12' or newer Mercury Metallic IS F.

I want to know if the RCF cover engine cover would fit without messing with it.

I don't believe it will. The electronic underneath the covers are now all relocated to expose the blue intake plentinum. If you look at the underneath of our F, it's a mess full of electronic and wires
I also want a black engine cover instead of the silver. |

Ah, I actually thought that blue plenum was fake and just part of the engine cover made too look fancy. LOL

Have you considered hydro-dipping? Looks better than plastidip (IMO) and from what I've seen/read is plenty durable; even on high-temp surfaces.
