Default Learn me: Brake rotor brands

Obviously Brembo rotors are nice, but there are an awful lot of "off brands" for half the price...are any of them any good?

Yes. Brembo makes them.

I just had centrics put in and they work great. Centrics + Stop Tech pads cost me $500

Raybestos rotors are pretty much on par with the stock Brembos. People who have tracked with them seem satisfied with their performance.

I've had them on all corners for 7 months now and have yet to see any problems. I don't track my F and it's daily driven.

have heard things about the raybestos rotors

i myself personally have used the centric/stoptech rotors and had no complaints with them

I think both brands can be found on rockauto.com for cheap

I take my ISF to the track and I am EXTREMELY happy with the oem set up. Other than brake dust I cant find a fault. The brakes are not a wreak point on the F. If you want to save money and go with the aftermarket go for it. Im happy with my stock set up and even have a fresh set of oem brembo rotors waiting in a box in my garage.

Brembo makes Lexus, Raybestos and AIMCO rotors for the IS-F. Brembo lists them on their engineering drawing. They might have different finishes on them, but the rotors are manufactured by Brembo.
