Default GS F, IS F, RC F Brake Caliper/Rotor all the Same?

Hi, seems you Guys are the experts on the Lexus F cars stuff. So can you tell me if the GS F, IS F, RC F Front Brake Caliper/Rotor all the Same? I am about to install a Zex kit on my 13 GS350 and want to upgrade the Front Brakes and looking for the bigger Calipers/Rotors. Would appreciate the answer. Thanks!

No. They are not all the same. The IS F has different rotors and calipers compared to the RC F and GS F. RC F and GS F do have the same calipers and rotors.

GS-F and RC-F are the ones you want. They bolt on with only the need to modify or remove the brake dust shields. Remember you will lose the ability to use the donut spare tire.

Unless you are doing repeated stops, the 4 piston base or F-Sport caliper/rotor combo should be fine on the street and the funds can be invested to ensure you have a fresh set of Michelin PS4S tires and a more agressive pad may be warranted. The stock brakes can bleed speed and lock up the wheels just fine and then it's all about the tires to keep you safe.

They will look great with the new wheels but it's extra weight. In the past, I've gone from a 14" 4 piston to 15.4" 8 piston setup up front and found no real street performance benefits over the mod. I'll admit I enjoy a smooth solid stop and great pedal feel more than going fast these days so this upgrade will always be in the back of my mind.

Can the RC-F TE (or Fuji Speedway Edition) CCB's bolt up? Maybe with brackets? These calipers are awesome.

Replacement costs on that system are way over the top. You can do a lot better with aftermarket CCBs.

Turns out if the RCF Track Edition CCBs fit they are cheaper than aftermarket CCBs by $3500+. The front Track Edition CCBs can fit an IS-F with an adapter but unfortunately it appears there is no way to make the rear calipers fit.

What prices are you looking at? The rotors from Lexus were obscenely priced when I looked them up compared to Racing Brake's aftermarket rotors for the RC F and GS F.

This price is before the 10-12% discount that can be had.

Except those rear calipers will not fit the IS F. The RB option is rotors and pads and way cheaper even with GS F/RC F front calipers added. Regardless, I wouldn't buy this setup unless I was competing in a highly competitive class and had decent sponsorship. Way too expensive for just HPDEs.

Yes, that's exactly what I said 4 posts ago. The rear calipers do not fit or I would have got this set up. Will likely go down the path of 2 piece rotors now and check out lightweight caliper options like the Brembo GT series.
