Default drag burnouts

so to do these burnouts that people do before 1/4 runs, do you just long press the trac button so that both lights come up then, just slam the throttle all the way down?

i tried this but my tires just chriped all the way through first and half of second

Are you just punching the gas without touching the brake? It sounds like your launching the car.
You need to use the brakes and modulate the throttle to keep the tires at the speed you want without them speeding up in to the next gear then roll of fthe brake so you start to move forward and lastly off the throttle and back on the brake so you don't go flying past the box.

So basically do a brake stand to load up the torque converter and roll out of it.

honestly if your on street tires just do a small burn out to clean the tires. Unless you have stickies. No need to waste rubber.
