Default Lexus IS F lost power

Bought the ISF about 6 months ago. I knew the previous owner who didnt abuse it. Was driving in 95 degree weather. All of the sudden it seems like the car lost half of its power. It still goes but doesnt pull like it use to. I checked for engine codes (none). Disconnected the battery for 5 minutes (no change) It seems like the throttle doesnt open into the secondary switch on the floor. Its just an even gradual response versus the kick once you get on it.

Any direction on what to look at would be much appreciated.

Also its a 2008 model

is it stock? does it have an intake? might be beneficial to list mods if you have any.

Switch to manual mode and drive it hard for awhile then switch back to auto mode and see if it still lacks power. Might just need to be driven hard

It has intake Joe Z and Joe Z exhaust. ( i believe) It has been on it since day one. I tried letting it sit for a while and got on it hard several times. No change. It is stock other than that and the lowered suspension and sway bar.

And you checked the intake and filter element? Just want to rule out that you don't have some type of blockage or element failure.

check the little flap on your intake box to see if that sucker still opens? clean out your air filter, then see if any vacuum line came off or leak.

if all those don't have a problem, ask for a loan from your local bank, kiss your ISF goodbye and bring it to the dealership, then prepare to drive a loaner IS250!!!!! if i were you I would ask for the hybrid it would justify the whole driving slow thing.... or the SUV... I'm sure you can visit it... tell your ISF "I wrote you a letter how much I miss you..." its okay to cry... trust me... I too hate leaving my car at the shop even for just for a smog check or complete changing all the fluids...

Did you put 91 or 93 octane in her?

I had a similar problem once, a family member had put about 5 gallons of 87 in my F once and it was definitely down on power (felt slower than my Acura CL-S). Problem solved as soon as I filled her up.

I would start by cleaning the MAF, checking and or cleaning the air filter, and reset the ECU/ learned values.

I wonder how often he drives it? ( says he got it 6mths ago, cool outside).... now its the dead of summer( heat will kill HP and TQ) could have a lot to do with it if he isn't really used to driving it much....just a thought

Ok I've tried everything. Took the intake apart cleaned everything. Checked and even changed the air filter. The odd thing is that it seems to idle up correctly in drive but once you switch over to sport mode , its not the same beast. As far as driving it enough. I drive it every day at least 30 miles. Once i get some time, ill send it to the dealer. As far as warranty. Ive still got a warranty on it.

Did you clean the MAF sensor and reset the ECU?

The main things I would look into is MAF Sensor, O2 sensor, air filter/throtle body. Those are the main items that can limit the cars power with out actually thowing an immediate code. Also wouldnt hurt to double check spark plug gap. If all those are fine, then the last thing I would say is GAS is your issue. Try filling up at an alternative station than your normal. Cheap gas isn't always the best gas and can limit an engines power

Any update on this..i am having same problem since dealer changed my oil. Problem is intermittent for me, sometimes full power, other times way down and no high end growl.

Dealer is perplexed..they are researching the issue.
