was doing some listening today and noticed that the rear door speakers( has 3 spots) for speakers but I only hear sound from 2( lower and the upper) no mid??? am I the only one that has noticed this or am I missing a mid in the back doors?

Mine is the same but only on one door. I never noticed it because I usually don't sit in the back. The middle speaker is not working on my right side back door. I haven't taken it to the dealer yet because I'm afraid that they won't put everything back together the right way when they are done.

There is definitely a speaker there. You have the wrong car and picture there.

if you have the 7.1 surround sound system there are No mid-range speakers in the doors, they have been relocated to the rear deck.

My car is a 08, not a 11, if that makes a difference, and have never been in the back to ever to notice if they were playing before until this weekend.....so its possible that I have some, they are just in the rear deck not the rear door.

I think it's the same for an 08. I know in my 11 there's definitely a speaker there because I can hear it on my left door but not on my right door.

Does your car have the ML DVD entertainment system? The ML without that option has the third speakers in the doors. My 08 has the DVD option and when I was upgrading the stock sub to a shallow mount Pioneer their were two speakers mounted on the rear deck. If you use a good bright flashlight and shine it into the middle speaker grill on the rear door speakers you should be able to confirm whether or not there is a speaker there.

Ummm...I think so , I watch DVDs all the time ...but will look in the back deck to see if there is some speakers there.
