I have them. It's more for looks than actual performance.

One of my best friends (and fellow ISF owner) actually made his own based on the design of mine. I bought mine from ISS (I think they were like $150?), and he made his own for like $20. LOL. The only difference between his and mine are that mine are thicker and the blue paint is a different hue.

And I don't know about better throttle response, but I believe they are supposed to provide more air flow and, ftherefore, more power as you accelerate. Perhaps one of the real car guys on here can chime in.

Yes, you can see them from the exterior. I'll go take a pic real quick.

You can see them from the outside, especially if you have a contrasting color. I don't have any pictures at the moment but you can Google it and some examples will pop up.

I think they only did one order of them. We all prepaid and waited forever to get them. No one could really prove that they did anything. They don't get enough airflow on a dyno to give a result and on the highway it's subjective.
Some guys said they thought it improved gas mileage by 1-2mpg on the highway but that's always subjective as well.
I guess they look cool and it's one more little mod to do when you run out of power mods, which is pretty much I/H/E.

I really didn't want the contrast so mine are black.

I also went with the black scoops... they advertised it as something that would improve air flow and gas mileage... like 28+mpg....well that's not the case unless its all highway miles with no stopping!

I didn't notice a difference at all, yes the concept is there and helps direct the air to go into the scoop that goes directly into the air intake box, but as far as gains, didn't help mpg for me.

Anyone who own them have any issues with radiator temps during spirited or track driving? I was looking into getting them but I was concerned that they would block too much air flow at the top of the radiator. Specially since the top of the radiator needs the majority of cool air flow.

I would not use this in combination with carbon hood, unless you are an expert windsurfer. LOL

I bought mine cause I know itd look sexy as hell. At night when a light flashes to the front of your car, you can see the bad *** intake scoops. Also everyone questions what the intake scoops are, even the famous tommy at music box
