No one mention about TGMO 0-20 FS oil here. I called Toyota dealer today for price. Guess what $5.76 per quart if buy a case or more. So it's only .76c more then M1per quart. And also OEM. Why not?

I don't use them but out of curiosity, I popped open a Fram Tough Guard in the store the other day and it included the O ring gasket....that filter was $12!!!!! You can pick-up a case of 10 Toyota OEM filters for around $50 on ebay!

So after finding out about the price difference via WalMart, I decided to go with Mobil 1 Extended Performance. Buying it myself and taking it to Jiffy Lube saved me $30 altogether compared to paying for their oil on site. Learned something new. Thanks for the help guys!

I have been using Amsoil for 30k now. Zero issues burn little oil. I change the filter at 15k add a quart then replace it all at 22k. Now on second oil change. I check oil every 5k to see if I need to add any haven't had to yet. I will never use anything other than Amsoil now. Very pleased.

At my friends shop they had a guy bring in a Nissan 200sx with 113K on the odometer. When they asked him what the problem was since he drove it in he said, "the car has gotten more sluggish with time." When they checked the spark plugs they were black. Then, they removed the valve covers and they were coated in black goo. They asked him when the last time his oil was changed, he said "never." He needed all new block pretty much.

Are you their spokesperson? Mobil 1 is a reliable brand of oil just as are most big oil companies. These companies get paid or severely discounted oil to make those statements doesn't mean they're true. If you want to read an independent article, I would read this http://540ratblog.wordpress.com/2013...-test-ranking/ then make your decision as to if Royal Purple superior or not. Most independent race teams without sponsorship use Amsoil BTW.
My very good friend runs a shop here in Irvine. We are both car guys. His shop actually does not offer Rotal Purple anymore, because most of the regulars are not familiar with it, but they used to.
I still get to bring my Royal Purple in, anytime I need an oil change :-)
Anyway, he still offers Mobil 1, but he mentioned to me on several occasions that after an extended period of time, like 8000-10000 miles Royal Purple held up much better than Mobil 1 in comparison.
It dosn not really concerns me as I switch my oil and filter every 5000 miles.
I cannot care less about what oil any of you guys use. I think if you change your oil properly, you cannot go wrong with any brand. I happend to like Royal Purple.
I just wanted to add my two cents.

Agreed. Oil "discussions" usually end up badly. Let's keep it fact based. There are lots of other sites on the web where people argue this subject endlessly and no one ever "wins" or has a widely accepted opinion. Let's keep it simple here.
