First of all lets give credit where is deserved to PhilDeltbee for taking the time to figure this out for us.I dont know why he never made a thread on how to do this but anyway ill be the middle men on this one.
I know there has been plenty of questions as to how to do this and so for, well here it is. Disclaimer im not responsible for any damages IF any occurs, this method works perfect without any issues if follow the instructions

Pull Module out


Tap green wire with red stripe and solid white wire


Slide the module back in place might be a little tight but it goes in, make sure the 2 wires you just tapped are exposed you will have to run them thru the firewall..Tip make sure your cables are long


here you see the wires going thru the grommet at the upper driver side corner.. Tip wrap the wires with a metal hanger or your item of choice to slide them thru


Once the wires go thru the grommet i decided i wanted to keep a stock look so i opted to get an actual Toyota Fog light switch found on the tacomas/tundras/camrys etc...fits like a glove


Fog Lamp Sw Assy 84160-04020 thats the actual switch i have...I didnt do this step but for those willing to go this route buy the harness too will make your life easier when connecting the cables. For those on a budget you can just buy a regular switch to turn the fogs on/off you choice.

Forgot to add, with this mod your fogs will turn on even if the car is off...when driving at night just use the regular switch for the fogs that's what I do, no problems.

I eliminated that bc since the power is direct it would always stay lid. Maybe by getting the factory oem
Harness it can illuminate with the dash lights just a thought.

It's a great look. I have zero experience with splicing wires, but at least the thread will help give guidance to shop guys who want to do this mod. I can't wait to see how it looks at night with the '14 fogs. Thanks ULTSISF!

Awesome I love the look of this I will have to order the switch and get this mod done. So can you just leave the switch on auto to get the fog lights and head light to work at night or do you have to switch them on manually?

Awesome thread.. I know several 2 IS guys have done this similar mod...

So which is the important wire..???

Sounds like one is the Fog Wire and the other is a HOT power..


If I'm thinking this through correctly, it can be done by only pulling one wire to the interior switch and we can pick up power from the interior fuse block or even tap cig lighter (never used for me)

This should also eliminate them working with the car OFF..

Joe Z good point....I believe it can be done using the ground or hot power cable within the inside of the car. I do think it will require a few more steps n some skinny hands lol

You'd want to connect to IG2. It's switched power for accessories. Then you wouldn't need to remember to turn anything off.

I have been wanting to do this too! Thanks for the write up
I do want to do it the way I did the supra though, still turns off with the timer but not dependent on the low beam. I'd like to make it dependent on the park lights this time instead of the low beams, and using the factory switch, without adding a second switch. Does anyone have a wiring schematic for the headlights, park, and fog? Is there still a fog light relay or is it all controlled by that module?
