Default 2010/11 IS-F versus 2014

Hi guys I just joined the forum. I currently drive a TRD. I want to buy the 2011 ISF as that's the only one available in my Country at the moment (South Africa).I wanted to know whether there was any difference between the 2010/11 model to the 2014 model. When I go to the lexus site, it brings up the 2014 model and all the specs and information which is very impressive. I just wanted to know which items can also be found in the 2010/11 models and which does not from the site. Here is the link to the lexus site http://www.lexus.com/models/ISF/explore/ I would really appreciate your detailed comparison. Thanks guys.

The important changes year to year were:

2010 - addition of lsd, New wheels

2011 - updated suspension components, updated steering ecu, thicker steering wheel, sport button at steering wheel, new tach, New hd based navigation with usb and bluetooth, Alcantara interior, led DRL in headlights, removed lexus badge.

2012 - new wider wheels, updated navigation, I'm not sure whether they did anything to the suspension.

2013 - updated suspension components, updated steering ecu, no more 6cd changer.

2014 - updated interior with embossed headrests, alcantara arm rest and door panels, carbon fiber spoiler, led fog lights.

I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting some stuff.

To get the biggest enjoyment for the money you will spend, opt for a 2011 or 2014.
2011 ISF set a benchmark in performance. 2011 is noticeably different than the 2008, 2009, and 2010.
2012 and 2013 are not much different from the 2011.

2014 is the last and freshest year of the F.
I suggest to go for a 2011. Or you could go for a 2014 if you don't mind spending the extra $$.

2011 -> 2012 will give you different wheels (wider), another slight change in suspension, the temperature up/down buttons are colored coded...

Thanks for the advice. I would love to get the 2914 but that's not available in South Africa. We a bit slow, for e ample the IS-F was only introduced to SA in 2010. I will get the 2011 version here. I have attached some pics. Does this look like the 2011 international version? I'm worried it may be a 2010 that was just registers in 2011? Is there anything on the vehicle that would tell me it's 2011 from the manufacturer?

That is a 2011 model, easily noticed by the LED Headlamps

Can you take a picture of the inside? The seats should be alcantara/suede and the tach should have a big RPM gage in the center.

this is the only pic of the inside I have. Does it help? The seats are however full leather not suede and not two tone. Maybe it was an option that was chosen?

It has the new tach, the new headlights and the sport button on the steering wheel. Perhaps in SA they didn't change to alcantara seats just like they didn't change the wheels. I belive it would take a lot of work to replace a 2008-2010 tach with a 2011+ one and I haven't read of anyone doing it. I think this is indeed a 2011 ISF.

I drive a 2011, it feels like a new car and probably will for at least 10 years
