Default My exhaust experiences

Take 1:
I wanted the exhaust to be a little louder so i went the muffler delete route. I loved the way it sounded even though it was a little louder than i wanted on slow acceleration. I kept the resonator just to prevent rasp or excess noise.

Take 2:
I discovered the F has 2 sets of cats. To make the car breath better i opted to do the 2nd cat delete. Worried it would be too loud, i came up with the idea of replacing the resonator with a muffler. i ordered an 18" oval single in dual out magnaflow muffler. 18" being the longest they offer(longer=quieter) oval being quieter than the round design. The plan for the dual out was to eliminate the 2nd Y pipe that seemed too restrictive. Unfortunately, this route didnt work. the muffler was a little to wide to fit in the spot the resonator was in.

Take 3:
Take everything off after the first set of cats and run true duals. so we ran 2.5" pipe all the way to the back and put 2 2.5" single in/out 14" mufflers in the same place as the factory mufflers. I like the way it sounds at idle and high in the rpms. I cant stand how it sounds in the midrange. Its "rumbly" like a truck with a flowmaster sounds, IMO.

Take 4:
in the next few days i want to add an x pipe to see if that helps the mid range sound. I dont have a plan b at the moment if the x pipe doesnt do the trick. I also want to find some black dual exhaust tips and do the iss forged look.

Other mods:
Joez Intake tube
performance filter

Sorry about the grammar/typos. This is the second time typing this because my window randomly closed when i went to submit it last time.

I kept the first set of cats bc they have sensors in them. If removed it would throw a code. After tomorrow it will be headers-cats-xpipe-mufflers

Thats exactly what aftermarket exhaust is (Borla for example). Bolts up to the headers, has an x pipe and 2 mufflers

Correct, I just took a little different route with a couple more steps. So, I decided to share.
