An oil change has to be the easiest form of maintenance you can perform on your own. Not only will you know exactly what kind of oil and filter you're putting into it, you will also save a lot of money and headache down the road. As others have said oil filters are fairly cheap when bought in bulk especially on eBay and you can buy the oil from your local Walmart. The filter wrench and a little funnel are one time expenses, so considering if you go full synthetic you will spend about the same amount as a full tank of gas per each oil change. Give it a shot next time!

Edit: I forgot the oil catcher and a good jack and stands. If you're not lowered rhino ramps are helpful too.

yea rhino ramps are a lot easier to use. Wally World has great prices on Mobil 1 synthetic, by far the best price I have seen. With synthetic you can probably go 8-10k miles easily. So less frequent labor when you go synthetic. The same filters are probably used on other toyota/lexus V8s like the tundra, landcruiser, LX570, LS460. So if you have or know anyone with those, you can split a case.

10 filters - $50

10 crush washers - $5

Please do research before making posts. The LS460 uses an 4152-YZZA5 oil filter, this is too small for the "F". Look at the links I posted on the preceding page. The YZZA4 filter is used on 5.7 Liter Toyota V8s and also fits the "F". Your are correct. however, concerning the LX570. That is a 5.7 liter Toyota V8 and does use the YZZA4 filter.

you can probably buy some on ebay. I bought a box of 10 filters + 10 crush washers for my IS350 for a good price
a box of 10 filters are like $35 from Sewell. Walmart sells the oil for like $25 each for the 5 qt jugs.
