Default Check VSC and CEL

Changed my headlight bulbs today. Followed a DIY which suggetsed removing the airbox, and disconnecting the MAF. Turns out I did not need to move the airbox or disconnect the MAF, but since I started following the DIY, I disconnected the MAF before I realized I didn't really need to.

I went to test the headlights, and mistakenly pressed the start button twice. The engine turned over, and then immediately shut down. OOOOPS. But the headlights worked

Buttoned everything back up, all nice and tight. Restarted car, and had a Check VSC, Traction Control, and CEL. Engine sounded normal. Shut down, Disconnected battery for about 30 seconds, reconnected and rtestarted, again engine sounded normal, the Traction and CEL went away, but still had VSC light and CHECK VSC message.

Did some internet searching, and then retried the car, and now the CEL and VSC lights are on (but I don't think the traction light is on)

Gonna go try and pull the codes, but anyone have any thoughts on an easy fix. I have seen some threads regarding popped fuses, and can try and quckly run through those, but was hoping for a more directed approach.

Last, any suggestions where to go to get the codes read.

Default Fixed

Wouldn't you know it. I went to go get a code reader, and when I started my car to leave, there were no error lights. Fixed, for now I guess.

....next time it would be wise to pull the battery cable "before" disconnecting the MAF - it will avoid this problem, and also any static discharge damage potential. I would also recheck your MAF plug to ensure its snapped in place and locked.

I might suggest it to the OP of the DIY, as well as remember to do that in the future.

Thanks

All you have to do is clear the codes from the computer. not a big deal if you know someone with a code reader.
