When I ordered mine back in December I called parts guy at Sewell to confirm they had them in stock. He said the $260 was a mistake and that they also should have never sold them because they were coming from Japan and it was very sketchy on when they were arriving and how many they were getting. I'm guessing the $3k price on the website is to make sure nobody will order one because they are a pain in the *** to get but if u want to spend $3k then they will gladly find one for u.
Since Lexus had no plans to change the MSRP of the MY14 IS F by $3K +
The problem was Lexus Japan was getting hit with a FLOOD of orders and quickly realized this part would be losing money over the counter.. So it was then correctly fixed to the price it costs to make a true Lexus Carbon Fiber component (see LFA)
